  I have eaten at the Millstone many, many times and it has always been excellent. A great range of dishes, all well cooked and delicious. Great service and good value. I cannot recommend highly enough.

  The hotel is really nice. The rooms are a bit outdated in the furnishings (intentionally) which isn't to my taste but it's a really nice place. The bar and restaurant are amazing. The food is really good. The staff are fantastic. We had one complaint about the food from a table of 8 and they wiped it off the bill. I would recommend it to anyone working in the area and needing somewhere to stay.

  We've been three times now and the first two times were adequate.
  Half-decent food, but much better elsewhere and cheaper. Good service though.
  
  The third time was awful. Food was over-cooked and the service was snail-paced.
  
  Won't be returning to this vastly over-rated restaurant.

  Asked for a lightly battered fish. When it arrived it was burnt to a crisp on one side.
  
  I asked the girl to ask the chefs if this was acceptable and she brought it back and said yes it was !! She then said we will do you another but because it was my wife's birthday meal I was forced to eat what bit I could of the burnt fish.
  
  On paying for the food I showed the girl who took our order a picture I had taken of the fish and she agreed that it was burnt but couldn't offer us any discount. She was just very apologetic.
  
  I came here at Christmas and had a nice meal but this was very poor.
  
  I won't be going back ever again and don't advise anybody to have the fish if that's the general quality.
  
  The chips were hard and undercooked too Shame !!
